Barbara Fredrickson, Ph.D. has done extensive research on positive psychology. Highly recommend her book. The more positive people are the more open minded they are. Unless you are a really good actor/actress, you cannot fake your attitude. Attitude is a sum total of all our beliefs. What is your predominant belief about yourself? Your product and/or service? About your prospects?
Dr. Fredrickson says that the average person has a 3-1 positive ratio. Three positives to one negative experience. What would happen if you increased your positive ratio? Just a little! It can be profound. Check out http://www.positivityratio.com for your baseline ratio. You may be amazed. No one is positive 100% of the time. You can re-wire your brain to respond differently without going down the dreadful self-doubt spiral.
